Best theme for Geeklog I have seen in a long time. Too many GeekLog themes, mine included, have "developer graphics". Nice work.

When viewed in opera (ver 7.20), only the header and footer appear normally, the actual content is shifted horizontally to the right. Any fix for this?

Is the best Theme Ive seen But. whats with 800*600?

Authored by: 4Xsample on Sunday, September 28 2003 @ 08:49 pm EDT

This is my problem In my statistics Ive seen MOST of my users they use 800 by 600 pixels relolution.
and Ive seen the best resolution for this great theme is 1280 by ...
This does mean I cant use if I don't adapt.
but my problem is I dont have any real Idea how to adapt it.
I need help to do it
some body have some Idea to adapt this great Theme to 800 by 600 pixels screen resolution?

Change to 800x600 and look at it ..
Whats not right?

I did, and theres some vertical scrolling .. Some elements take too much space to fit in 800px ..

But what theme does not look better in 1280*960 than in 800*600?

Plone

Authored by: destr0yr on Friday, October 10 2003 @ 09:48 pm EDT

This Theme should be renamed Plone, based off the Plone CMS. It was a mistake of mine to release it with the name "TabularDynamics" and not give the original authors the credit.

Opera Browser

Authored by: sphopkins on Friday, December 12 2003 @ 09:39 am EST

BTW great theme - I like the nice and clean look.
Have you had anyone report problems with the opera browser and this theme ? I have a user that sent me a screen cap that had all of the left sided content overlapping on the left....

Problems with Opera browsers

Authored by: pantman on Monday, January 05 2004 @ 06:09 pm EST

If you render the page under NS or IE it all sets up fine but under Opera the screen splits into two with the header taking up one pane and the content taking up the other half.

Tracked it down and if you haven't already found it then you need to make the changes below to the file on geeklog.

Current header.thtml in /public_html/layout/TabularDynamics

{welcome_msg}
</div>
<td>
</tr>

<table border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="0" width="100%">

Revised

{welcome_msg}
</div>
<td>
</tr>
</TABLE>
<table border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="0" width="100%">

Hope this helps

errors in apache error log

Authored by: robbik on Monday, March 01 2004 @ 04:25 pm EST

I'm using this theme right now and like it...however when I looked in my apache2 error log I constantly get these "errors":

[error] [client xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] File does not exist: /path/to/geeklog/layout/TabularDynamics/{layout_url}, referer: http://www.mysite.org/index.php

But everything works ok, any ideas how to get rid of these error messages ??

Has anyone put Sub Menue under the tab

Is it possible to put sub menu in the line under the tab?

errors in apache error log

Authored by: rekon on Friday, April 09 2004 @ 02:44 am EDT

Looks like some lines in the style.css are not in the correct format...

find these:

1) list-style-image: url("{layout_url}/images/bullet.gif");

2) background: #DEE7EC url({layout_url}/images/
linkOpaque.gif) 9px 1px no-repeat;

3) background: White url({layout_url}/images/
linkTransparent.gif) 9px 1px no-repeat;

4) background: #FFCE7B url({layout_url}/images/
linkTransparent.gif) 9px 1px no-repeat;

5) background: url({layout_url}/images/required.gif) right no-
repeat;

and change them to:

1) list-style-image: url(images/bullet.gif);

2) background: #DEE7EC url(images/linkOpaque.gif) 9px 1px no-
repeat;

3) background: White url(images/linkTransparent.gif) 9px 1px no-
repeat;

4) background: #FFCE7B url(images/linkTransparent.gif) 9px 1px
no-repeat;

5) background: url(images/required.gif) right no-repeat;

Have fun!

problem with a new tab...

Authored by: staypuftman on Monday, November 01 2004 @ 12:32 pm EST

i know this post is about 6 months late from your original message - but ive run across the exact same problem with this theme - in mozilla 1.5+/firefox i seem to get it to work like i want it to, IE 5.2ish for Macs is cool and so are IE 5.0-5.5x, but IE6.0+ bombs with this stylesheet - I have heavily modified this theme though so Im not exactly sure I havent just screwed it up myself over time- you need to get into the main stylesheet and edit the 4 a:link codes - make sure you check the background and link colors and keep them consistent - any modification of the a:link will also modify the left blocks as I have noticed - proceed carefully - im still trying to develop a work-around for this

i also wanted to say how good i think this theme is - its the best listed on this site for sure, I have been playing with it for about a month now and seen its pluses and minuses: (voted it an 8 - probably should have given it a 9)

plus:
excellent clean layout - calendar looks great too
tabing ability sets it apart

minus:
your theme is hard to follow in the code - you didnt comment enough, spent many hours coming through the header file like a child in the woods
changing the tabs has proven hard for me
resolution problems - i had to modify the admin header heavily to get it to fit into 1024x768

i would like to pay homage to whomever made this kudos sir - here is where your theme is being used (albeit heavily modified)

certain things dont work right yet but they will get there, its a slow roll out
