I have a working Movable Type system that I would like to move to the Geeklog system. The Movable Type system is running under MySQL 3.23 and I would just like to move the topics/posts over. Don\'t need to move authors, news feeds or anything complicated. I have only a few people that post that I could easily create in the Geeklog system. I also have myPHPadmin up and running. Is there an easy way to copy and paste between the two databases? The geeklog system is running on my server, just no information. Thanks, Tom

There is no existing solution that I know of. But it shouldn\'t be too complicated to write a converter. Have a look at the format of the gl_stories table. Most fields should be pretty obvious. There\'s also a function COM_makesid() to create story ids. As long as you only want to convert stories and you have no images in them, this should be pretty straightforward. bye, Dirk
