Help! Locked myself out of MySQL after setup!!

Classic newbie mistake, I guess...

I set up MySQL on my iBook (10.3.5). Somewhere along the line--you guessed it--I didn't give myself root user privileges. Now, anytime I try to view certain databases or GRANT myself a password or even delete MySQL via the Terminal, I get the "access denied for user (using password: NO)" error.

ANY help on how I circumvent the "access denied" problem would be much appreciated.

You should probably try the MySQL forums.... MacOSXhints also has info I think.

Cheers,
