You are right that the images do not go through the image resizing, or checking.

You do not want to get me talking about 'automatic' story importing.

uh, o.k.!
I'll take that as an indication that automatic story importing would a BAD
THING and drop that particular line of inquiry. I can imagine that security
might be an issue.

At the risk of stepping into similar territory: would you see problems with
a static page or external page that was programmatically updated?
