Problems Uninstalling \'beta\'

I had the 'beta' installed from Mr. GXBLOCK, since there was no clear way to uninstall I simply deleted all of the beta forum tables and removed all of the forum directories. Now when I logon I get the following error message. I have not yet installed the new forum.

Error Message: 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax near ') AND perm_group >= 2) OR (perm_members >= 2) OR (perm_anon >= 2))' at line 1

Ok,
Try going into your database, and into the table gl_groups and see if there is a group called forum admin or something like that. If so, remove it. Then, go to the gl_plugins table and look for a row about the forum, if it\'s there, delete it also.
Then try loggin on.
Let me know how it goes.

You may also look to see if there are any forum related records in the gl_vars table. Is so remove them.

This errror looks unrelated ... This is retrieving story records - thus not forum code. Disable the plugin to ensure its not the plugin.

Unrelated - Restoring backup? Do I just delete all the GL tables and run the SQL script created during the backup?

Use the Plugin Editor to delete the plugin. Always the best way.
