first off...
Geeklog IMNSHO works much better than any *Nuke site... and is much cleaner code wise...
Is it perfect, hell no, if it were, there would be no planning for 2.0 now would there?

As for why isnt x, y or z coded for you yet... get off your lazy ass and contribute something, be it a bug report, patch, bit of code, or even.. (GASP) a constructive critisism...

I am sorry, I am not a GL coder, i just like the code base, and have hacked together a few things here and there to scratch an itch i had and released them... but I find it typical that you posted this without your name... when I worked on MyPHPNuke we had a number of wastes of bandwidth such as yourself... all too quick to *censored*, but refusing to pitch in..

I too went on the CMS hunt and came down to postnuke, plainblack, phpwebsite and geeklog.

plainblack looked amazing but I couldn\'t install it on my iBook -- too bad 3 days of trying isn\'t an easy install (note, site does say it is difficult to install ... they\'re so right)

phpwebsite almost got me but almost weekly updates would drive me nuts since I love updating.

postnuke was really close for me ... since knowing they\'re trying to get rid of the code that some many hate in nuke.

geeklog ... well, it was the choice I made. Hoping that GL will become more popular and catch up with all those modules and functions that other places have. I like all the trinkets and goodies that the *uke users have but the base is the most important and that is what I think GL has. Now, of course, I\'m not a coder so my opinion is based on pure intuition with using and peeking around.

Although Geeklog is not so easy to install, I finally got it. Great piece of code, thanks a lot for it. But I would like to run GL together with Postnuke on one domain. Since I installed GL, Postnuke is disabled - the reason is GL theme, which, of course, Postnuke cannot find. Anybody knows the solution? Many thanx.
