Just to make sure we are on the same page, us developers love to see others find creative ways to leverage the hard work of other open source projects into Geeklog. To that end, GL2 will continue to support that ability. However, we will not be releasing such things as a core part of Geeklog. Tying ourselves to another open source project with it\'s own ideas and goals only introduces problems.

Do I need to be corrected? Is this forum one written from scratch? Or is it one based of a third party forum? If it was built from the ground up to use GL, that is a totally different story on intergrating it with GL.

Tony,
The whole forum has been built from scratch, totally intended for Geeklog. Since then I have been working with him to add more functionality to it. A little of the code may be based off of other forums, but then, this is a forum too so it needs to have some of the same features. What I am trying to say is that this forum was built for Geeklog, it is not phpBB, or any other forum just integrated.

Ok, good. Does this already implement the plugin API then? What\'s left to-do for stable release? Once released and tested, I have no problem including it with the distro. I\'ll even considering writing a small php program to port those using my phpBB 1.x hack over.

Ok,
I was just talking to Mr. GxBlock and we still have a few more additions to put on it, and some testing to do with it before it is ready. I don't think we can put a date on anything yet, but I dont think it will be too long.
