This plugin should work with Geeklog 1.6.1.
And, I confirmed that it was possible to upgrade from Media Gallery v1.6.1 to Media Gallery WKZ on Geeklog 1.4.1.
Probably, even if it continues to use Caching Template Library, there will are not a problem.

There is not a difference in the place of the file repository and the structure of the database at all with Media Gallery v1.6.1.
Therefore, if you re-install the previous Media Gallery, and restore the file repository and the database, you will be able to totally restored.
Did you look at the document of the name, README?

However, I don't confirm in all conditions.
Before upgrade, Please make sure to back up previous versions of files and databases.

Hi,
I tried many times today to sort this problem out. I will have to take another look in the week. I have followed all of the instructions over and over and have tried different things to get it working again, but still no luck. All of the other plugins are working normally, it's only since the installation of this program I have had problems getting things back to normal. I noticed that I am not getting the Media Gallery come up in the admin part anymore either. All of the files and CHMODS are correct and I have even tried changing the CHMODS to suit my server etc. I will take another look and hopefully get it sorted eventually. I will post the problem here when I find out what is causing it.

Ok. I spent a few more hours on this and I have now decided to take a break as I have tried a clean install with my original and with the WKZ version and it still does not work. I don't have any ideas now as to what it can be. I can get it to install onto my Geeklog version 1.6.1, but Nobody is able to do anything with it. It comes up with the search bar and that's it. I used to have a Media Gallery option in my Admin menu, but I no longer have that either. If I do ever find out the problem I will let you know. Meanwhile I am using Gallery2.

Ok. Until Midia Gallery WKZ works right on your system, I want to help as much as possible. Please note that I am poor at English.
First, I need clues to specify a problem.
Does the installation complete? Does the uninstallation complete? Or, does the error occur while installing?
In case of what operation, does the error occur?
When the following error message occurred, what message was output to error.log?
"Access Denied. You do not have the proper security privilege to access to this page. Your user name and IP have been recorded."
If you can, show the message of error.log, here.
Is it possible to install the Midia Gallery which you were using?
List directories which you changed a permission into, here.

Hi,

I have just found something.
When I go into groups as an Admin, under rights, I have found 5 mediagallery.admin and 5 megiagallery.config options. I have created a new group with admin rights in the Group Manager and I have clicked on all of the mediagallery.admin and all of the mediagallery.config options. I now have Media Gallery come up in the Admin menu.
If I uninstall the mediagallery completely, including the files in the directories manually, I still have 4 mediagallery.admin options and 4 mediagallery.config options under the rights section.
I have noticed that when I use Media Gallery WKZ with FFMPEG, the header has a huge space above it so I have re-installed my original version and all is back to the way it was when I first installed it. I just need to figure out how to get everyone's pictures back now. I would much rather use the WKZ version as it looks better.

Because you repeated the incomplete installation and uninstallation of Media Gallery, the situation occurred.
If you can use phpmyadmin tool, I think it is better to restore "gl_groups" table and "gl_group_assignments" table. But, the risk of the restoration isn't small.

I can not understand this meaning.

If you have backup, you should restore file repository and database tables which has prefix "gl_mg_" to the origin. If you don't have it, it will be difficult.

Sorry. Above-mentioned "gl_groups" and "gl_group_assignments" are a mistake. "gl_features" table is right.

Hi,

Thank you for your help. I have found all of the files that people have uploaded, but I think I will need to read up on how to restore the database tables as that is all new to me.

Click on Media Gallery in the Admin menu.
Click on system options under configuration menu
Click on the Graphics package tab.
Enable FFMPEG support.

When this is enabled in the WKZ version I get a very big space above the Header on each page, but I am not sure why.
