They work great to signal rescuers/aircraft in a survival situation. The center hole can be used to 'aim' the reflection just like signal mirrors that are designed for this purpose. Not that anyone would be ever lost in the wilderness with an AOL disk on hand. :)

i'm pretty confident the at least 6 AOL disks will find you way quicker than any rescue planes
