Announcements

The second beta version of Geeklog v2.2.0 is now available for download.

For more information on what new features are included in Geeklog v2.2.0 please read about the Beta 1 Geeklog release.

Fixes included in Beta 2:

  • [Feature] Allow Admin to disable 2 Form Authentication (2FA) for a specific user
  • [Bug] 2FA backup codes now get deleted on user delete
  • [Bug] 2FA would always reset backup codes preventing user from being able to login
  • [Bug] Fix for Batch Admin and phantom users when the Geeklog Database is from a really old install
  • [Bug] On Group Admin form fixed inherited list style for child themes

Note: Make sure your 3rd party Geeklog plugins are updated to the latest version as they are required to use the function COM_createHTMLDocument. This replaces the functions COM_siteHeader and COM_siteFooter. If you are unsure if a plugin supports Geeklog v2.2.0 then either disable it during the install or uninstall it.

A number of plugins have now been released that support Geeklog v2.2.0:

These plugins can also be found on Github in our Geeklog Plugins Repository.

We would also like to put a request out there for translators. If you speak and write another language besides English or Japanese and would like to contribute to Geeklog please join the geeklog-translations mailing list. Translating Geeklog isn't complicated. Instructions can be found on the Geeklog Wiki or simply ask on the translation list.

We would like to encourage you to download this beta version, try it out, and give us your feedback. This is a beta version and it may still contain bugs. If you find any please report them in our Bug Tracker on GitHub. Depending on what issues are found the development team hopes to have the final release of Geeklog v2.2.0 before July.

Remember if you would like to chat with any of the community one of the best place to reach us is on Gitter in the Geeklog room.
