Revised Static Pages plugin V1.1 and also a patch for those who don't want to download the plugin are now available.

The latest..
Login Issues: (browser dependant)
Some people found they couldn't log in to the GDev site. This was because of cookie security issues associated with domains. Although the site is now running unframed, it was originally framed with the framing page on www.information.tj, while the framed page (the true URL of the site) was on a different domain. IE(windoze) decided (dependant upon browser security settings) this was a security risk, and refused to part with the necessary cookie info, thereby killing the session. Something to watch out for in the future !
Install script failure: (effecting full installs of sr2 only. Sites patched to sr2 were fine..)
This one truly caught me by surprise. For some unfathomable reason, the full install of GL1.3.5sr2 set the version of the Staticpages plugin to V1.1 in the db!!!
This is directly contrary to the files, docs, and config file where the version is declared as 1.0 !! The install script I included with SPV1.1 was designed to take the hassle out of upgrading by checking to see if V1.1 was already on board, and, if so, exiting with the appropriate message. Of course this killed the upgrade for those who had run a full install of sr2, even though it didn't actually have Static Pages V1.1 on board. This is now fixed by checking for the presence of staticpages.PHP privs feature rather than checking the version number.
Bogus redirect on save:
This was a last minute change I made to my code which has since been reversed.
So, in a nutshell, those of you who put the upgrade on hold, or abandoned it altogether, should now download the patch or the revised plugin and upgrade as needed - this time without (I hope) the hassles.
I'm also happy to answer any questions you may have about the upgrade, and welcome any stories/posts etc at GDev.
Cheers,
Phill.
