hi, as wondering whether can I actually change the url of my sections titles? meaning, you see, I do not want my gl portal to appear when people log into my domain because I want to put up a splash page. I tried to change the index.php to another name but the link in my sections still points to index.php, please help....thanks in advance

You could use a static page as a splash page. Give it the title "Frontpage" and the label "nonews". Or you could try creating a index.html file and store it right next to your index.php. Most webservers are set up to look for an index.html first. In both cases, don't forget to include a link to the actual Geeklog site :-) bye, Dirk
