Dear GeekLog community,

I've got a problem with the forum plugin 2.9.0 and indeed when I uploaded it and wanted to install in the Dashboard under Geeklog plugin, this error appears to me

An error has occurred:

(This text is only Displayed to users in the group 'root'Wink

2 - fopen (/ www/htdocs/w0104fc2/logs/error.log) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied @ / www/htdocs/w0104fc2/lib-common.php line 2803

Does anyone know what could be there. For any help I would be grateful.

That's sort of a meta error: Geeklog tried to report a problem by writing it to the error.log file, but couldn't write to it.

Make sure error.log (and the logs directory) is writable for the webserver user (so that Geeklog can also write to it).

bye, Dirk

Hi Dirk,
Thank you for your help. I was able to successfully install the plugin. One question I have as yet and that as I bring this forum up and running?

I have to plug in GeekLog activates the function, but I see nowhere in the dashboard where you can make forum settings. Apparently this is not yet active. Can you give me a hint here?

If the plugin really is installed, you should see a "Forum" link in your Admin menu block now. Otherwise, check the status of the plugin under "Plugins".

bye, Dirk

I have now checked it under plugins. The function of the plugin is active, but the plugin does not seem to be active. I could see it when I clicked on the link * info *.

Look at it again to you on the screenshot.

I do not know how I could activate the plugin. Other plugins are also not active, even though the features are enabled.
