what can be the maximum value for this. I had set something like 365000.
When i did that the site stopped taking articles.

Meaning i could post but they would not get saved.

is this a bug.

Also i dont want to set comment close so what do i do?

I tried 100000 and had not noticed that it is defect as I had not posted a story yet.

Now I can confirm 100000 does not work but e.g. 200 works.

There are already a few bug reports and feature requests concerning the unfortunate implementation of the new comment "features" http://project.geeklog.net/tracking/view.php?id=934 I lost overview what is defect and what is just paranioc.

FWIW, I've set it to 4000 on geeklog.net. That's a little over ten years, so should be sufficient for now, given that Geeklog only celebrates its 10th birthday next year.

And yes, that function isn't quite working as it should be. I'll look into it for the next release.

bye, Dirk
