compatility meta tag for IE8 in a geeklog site

Hi,
I would like to add to my geeklog site a compatility meta tag for IE8:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
where should i add this?

In the header.thtml file in your theme directory. Put it between the <head></head> tag

public_html/layout/yourthemename/
