Geeklog Forums

I've followed the instructions and retraced my steps several times, deleting and reuploading, etc. but can't get the forum to even show in Geeklog 1.5.1. I've tried giving the install a kick start by posting the install url but nothing happens except I am redirected to my home site to look for a link. I'm new to all this but love this package and would rather have a Geeklog forum than a phpBB one, not least because it's the same layout, etc. Has anyone got any idea what I'm doing wrong. I'm on a hosted server but have put the files outside the public_html bit as well as inside.
