Dear Support,

I moved my Geeklog site from one server to another server, and which this the path to my hosting account changed. I copied the complete Geeklog 1.5.1 (full FTP download from the old server and full upload to the new server), I changed the siteconfig.php and db-config.php files, opened the SQl database and changed the path in gl_conf_values...

But I still get "Unfortunately, an error has occurred rendering this page. Please try again later.", so sure I forget something, but what... anybody have any ideas????

What does the error.log have in it for any errors? It should give you a clue on what to look at next for possiblities. Paste your last few lines of the error.log file here using the code block so that we maybe able to help you further.

Another question, is it possible that Geeklog 1.5.1 has a problem with "/home/hosting/public_html/domain.com/", as it was before "/home/hosting/public_html/domain" .

@ Ironmax, the error.log says nothing....

Okay that fixed it, still had some difficulty, as it was complaining about the "../" in front of db-config.php, but now the website runs again on the forum is still showing "Unfortunately, an error has occurred rendering this page. Please try again later."

If I login as admin and try to access the forum in admin home I get "(This text is only displayed to users in the group 'Root'Wink
2 - Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/denimin/public_html/thaipets/forum/include/gf_format.php:1851) @ /home/denimin/public_html/thaipets/lib-common.php line 860"

Additional I get this in my error.log
Text Formatted Code
Sat Nov 15 03:18:23 2008 - Unable to unserialize s:39:"/home/denimin/public_html/thaipets/data/"; for Core:path_data
Sat Nov 15 03:18:23 2008 - Unable to unserialize s:41:"/home/denimin/public_html/thaipets/images/"; for Core:path_images
Sat Nov 15 03:18:29 2008 - Unable to unserialize s:42:"/home/denimin/public_html/thaipets/backups/"; for Core:backup_path

:rtfm: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by ...

If you're still getting the "Unable to unserialize" messages, try setting those paths manually (path_data is the path to the data directory, and so on).

I simply do not understand what your problem is. I posted answers to your problems above. Did you try them? Did they help? If not, what's the problem now?

Saying "I need help" without specifying the problem won't get you anywhere ...

bye, Dirk

Hi Dirk,

Sorry I acted like a baby, we got the forum working... Thanks a lot for the help....

We now only have the problem with the "Unable to unserialize", if we open configuration and try to enter the correct path and save it, the line of the path ends up blank again....

Additional to the "Unable to unserialize" error we also get...

Text Formatted Code
Sat 15 Nov 2008 16:25:56 ICT - Error: Specified source directory, topics/ is not a valid directory
Sat 15 Nov 2008 16:25:56 ICT - File, topic_HealthCare.jpg, was not found in getimage.php

Hello people,

We fixed it, what we did is that we started from the beginning again, with a copy of the original database and used only the migration tool specified before. This of course work without any problems, probably something went wrong when we try to edit the database manually....

I hope that everybody can forget my stupidity

It would have been interesting to get to the bottom of this. You don't happen to have a backup of that faulty database?
