I am using the Minimal theme in one of my sites. When I choose "No Blocks" in the static pages editor the left blocks disappear but the content doesn't move to the very left side of the page, it stays where is it uses to be with left blocs on.
Is there any quick fix for that?
I am using GL 1.41

Thanks/Frank

Since the demo-site doesn't have this theme, please post the url of that page.

My site is still in testing status and not ready for any traffic yet.
Can the Admins please install the Minimal theme to the demo page?

Thanks

The Minimal theme has been installed and updated to the Demo Site. It is Strict and XHTML compliant now. There are a few minor problems with it, nothing major, but that can be fix by the person installing the theme.

Well, I've set the demo site to the Minimal theme (thanks, Ironmax) and made a static page without blocks, and the content actually did move to the very left side, in Firefox 3 and IE7. I don't know whats happening at your own test site...

Did you put that page as a centerblock in a topic?

Please note: I made changes to this theme. It is not the same archive that had been downloaded elsewhere. The theme I have on the demo site has a link to the download listed in the vTheme plugin.

I tried with a fresh minimal theme for 1.4 and for 1.5 but I still have this problem. I checked with the original professional theme and that works fine.
Does anybody know where in the template files I have to look and change something?

Thank you all for your responses.

Can you provide us with a screen shot or a URL so that we may login and see whats going on. If you want to send us an email with the login credentuals, thats fine. Then we will be able to help you further. Also, you may want to try and use the theme thats attached to the demo site and download that version. Currently as of the time of this posting, only Google has downloaded it.

a couple of days ago I sent you per PM the link to my test site and something to log-on. Have you received that?

Thanks/Frank

Sorry about that Frank. I just seen it. I didn't get an email on the notification that I had a pvt msg...weird.

Did you download the version that I had for upload that was attached to the demo site in the vThemes? If not, then I would suggest that you download and install that version. Actually I just looked at your header code and your not running the version that is on the demo site. So please download it and completely replace that directory with the one on the downloaded archive. Once you have done that, let me know and I will be able to help you further.

Thanks for your reply Michael, I downloaded and installed the one from vThemes but it still has the same problem. Can it be a problem with GL 1.41? I checked GL 1.5 but I am not going to use it because of the missing config.php.

Missing config? Meaning what? Version 1.5 has the config built in now. If you are upgrading from 141, you can leave a copy of your config file in the root of your site directory where it always had been before and the upgrade should pick up the values. If it does not, you can go into the config thru the admin/configuration link on the site and make those changes manually. 99% of all the changes are now done thru the GUI.

... that's what I mean, 99%, I want 100%, moving installations around is such a pain also, so this GUI config is not working for me so I am going to stick with GL 1.41.

So what do you say, can we get this to work or should I use professional theme and start my changes there?

What is not working in the config? What browser are you using? Have you tried other browsers to verify? I have tested the theme in IE 6, FF3, Opera 9.5. All 3 have worked with no problems that I could see. If there is a problem that makes the theme not work, please tell me and also how you got to that noticeable problem. I will need to try and create the same conditions so I can try to understand what you are experiencing.

Do you see the same problems on the demo site? If not, then I need to see the problem. I can login to your site and look for myself. You will need to explain where and what you see and don't see.

You can log on again with the details I sent you and see for yourself with the latest Minimal theme installed.

The config is another story, but I decided to continue using 1.41. GL 1.5 is a step backwards in my opinion.

Frank,

Your still not running the updated theme that is located on the demo site. Here is the direct link to download the archive. Please delete or rename the current Minimal theme directory on your system. Then un-archive the the file you downloaded at http://www.spacequad.com/filemgmt/index.php?id=485 and then see what you have. Below is proof that you are not running the same theme located on the demo site.

Do you see the differences between the two themes? This is why I made the modifications to make the theme on the Demo Site work properly in the first place. Until you make the changes, I cannot help you.

There is no threat to security having your URLs posted. If it however was path statements, then yes I would have agreed with you. I'll see what I can do to remove or change my last post.
