Hi,

I have read the instructions for uploading the forum plugin. However, it's not very clear, as the way the instructions are give, and the way I precieve it is that you create several forum directories, including one within your accounts public_html .

Does anyone know of instructions that are more percise then this?

I certainly do appreciate anyone's help, thanks.

All Geeklog plugins are pretty much installed in the same way. And yes, that requires a few directories to be created.

There's an article on the wiki that may help. If the image doesn't load, try http://wiki.geeklog.net/wiki/images/3/32/PluginInstallOverview.jpg

bye, Dirk

When they refer to "restore" the complete archieve, are they referring to uploading the zipped archive and un compressing it? Restoring and uncompressing a zip file have 2 different meanings to me.

I don't have the forum installation instruction at hand, so I don't know what you're referring to.

You will have to unpack the archive either locally first and upload the contents or unpack it on the server, if you have ssh access. The latter is probably more convenient, but it doesn't matter how you do it.

bye, Dirk
