First of all, I must say that Geeklog ROCKS!! The ease of install and implentation was super easy.

On that note, I have a request for a plugin for the calendar. I would be surprised if I was the first for this type of request.

I am looking for a way to track employee vacation and project time in the calendar.

For example:

Say I have 40 employees working in a 7X24 business. There are about 10 different projects working at all times. Of course, during evenings and on weekends, there are less people involved.

What I am looking for is a way to assign people to one or more projects on a daily / shift / project basis and also the ability to track this against vacation day requests. Also, a way for me to quickly look at the calendar and see if there is a project that is not going to be covered on a particular day, week or even an hour due to scheduling issues or vacation days.

If I am in the wrong place for this request, let me know.

Have you ever tried phprojekt? It is more a group management software for internal use. It has a good calendar.
