In an effort to port more business oriented themes to Geeklog, I decided to work on a layout by Luka Crvk (luka@solucija.com) titled "small studio". Overall, it is a relatively neutral design that uses only two colors.

Hopefully it will be a good base for others to start with when building a small business oriented website. I can envision a static page replacing the usual story layout on the homepage with links to software, plugins or other goodies.

See it in action at my test site: lab.familycorner.us and let me know what you think!

Download it at http://www.gllabs.org/filemgmt/index.php?id=151.

Very nice geiss!
It's nice and clean. Simple yet very attractive.

I'd also like to thank you for your port of webstruments.
I've modified it a bit and am using it on my new site design.
When I get the site finished, I'll spend some time trying to re-incorporate the header page curl look because I think it's a great visual feature.

Minshull,

Thanks for the feedback! Your site looks fantastic! I would love it if you could shoot me your header.thtml file. I really like what you've done!

Also, remember to update your favicon.ico file. Big Grin

Thx!

Geiss

Thanks!

I had to change a few images, most noticeably I had to create a full width web-header.gif file because IE 7 and Firefox on Vista would push the image outside the right margin, even though it looked just fine in IE6 and Firefox on XP (and I couldn't figure out a more elegant way to do it...). Other than that all changes were in the style.css file. I'm pretty sure I didn't change anything in the header.thtml file. It still has the original file date...

I haven't played with favicons, I'll have to check into that. Thanks for the tip!

I see from your profile you're a gamer, whats your pleasure?
I'm mostly an FPS player, but Guild Wars is my guilty pleasure... ;-)

Mostly tactical FPS as well. Battlefield 2, Rainbow Six: Vegas, etc. Some of our guys are into Guild Wars. Check out our clan site at www.midnightforce.com for more info.

Thx!

Cool!

Our BF2 clan took second place in the BFCL 8v8 ladder last spring. If you guys are ever looking for a scrim, by all means look us up. Our guys are always looking for a good fight... Big Grin

Our Clan, The MatureAsskickers began about 6 years ago with Tribes 2 (my true passion), but has evolved and diversified greatly over the years.

Talk to you soon,

Jack (Sabre)
