I have my geeklog site on a subdomain that i made on my domanin; the Coppermine gallery that i want to import to my geeklog Media Gallery it is not on the subdomain it is directly on the domain. Do this affect the import? Can I import from an other subdomain ?

the error that appear is this:
ERROR: This does not appear to be the proper path to Gallery Albums directory

may be I am stupid :banghead: and i don´t know haw to write the path,
i thought that if the http path is:
:rtfm: http://www.MyDomain.com/ CoppermineGallery
... then the Coppermine gallery path that i want to import to Media Gallery will be:
:rtfm: MyDomain.com/ CoppermineGallery ...

haw to know the absolute path to my Coppermine directory ?

As long as the Coppermine gallery is on the same server, you should be able to import without too much trouble.

First things first, let's figure out what your absolute path is to Coppermine. We can probably use your Geeklog config.php to help give us some clues.. Here are a few questions to answer...

1. When you say sub-domain, I assume you mean that Geeklog is installed in a sub-directory under your main website, so the path is something like:

.../mydomain.com/geeklog_is_here/...

Let me know if this is a correct assumption.

2. In your Geeklog config.php file you have a variable called $_CONF['path'], this usually has the absolute path to your Geeklog config.php file. So, it should have what we need. Look at it and you'll probably see something like...

/var/www/mydomain.com/geeklog_is_here/

So, I would guess the absolute path to your Coppermine directory might be:

/var/www/mydomain.com/CoppermineGallery/

Obviously, I'm making up directory names here, you'll need to let me know exactly what you have set in your $_CONF['path'] variable in your Geeklog config.php.

You could also email your hosting service tech support and ask them the absolute path to your webroot if the above doesn't help us figure it out.

Thanks!
Mark
