Also, I installed this file: http://www.geeklog.net/filemgmt/index.php?id=784
It says that it's an upgrade from a previous version, do I need the previous version for it to work?

No. Just just place the "phpblock_gsmap.php" in the "private/system/custom/" directory. All you need to do is described in the "README" file.

I followed the directions in the readme, but it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe the CUSTOM_runScheduledTask isn't working? I looked in the config.php file to see if there is a switch to turn it on, but all I found was the interval - I left the default interval at 86400.

I couldn't figure out how to call the function using a staticpage, but I did try using a php block. I just got an error saying that the function doesn't exist.

Any ideas? At what time is the CUSTOM_runScheduledTask supposed to run? I know that it's set to run once a day at the interval I have it set at, but I'm confused as to when the clock starts ticking.

Did you add the following line at the top of "add_to_lib-custom.php" to lib-custom.php?
Text Formatted Code

require_once "custom/phpblock_gsmap.php";

If you want to use a staticpage, you have to type in as content
Text Formatted Code

phpblock_gsmap();

The time CUSTOM_runScheduledTask() was called last time is stored in DB. Whenever someone accesses lib-common.php (via public_html/index.php), it checks whether it is time for CUSTOM_runScheduledTask() to run. So just after CUSTOM_runScheduledTask() is called "the clock starts ticking".

:doh:

I hadn't noticed that I had it commented out. All works well now.

Thank you very much for your help.

Sorry, people... Geeklog is/ or was great.. It was able to generate 20 US Dollars a day. But without the support of the International Standard of Sitemaps I would say. Everybody who likes his income start looking at a other CMS, which supports Google Sitemaps more official. I'm in 7 days down from 20 Dollars a day to 1 or 2 Dollars. And the Google Webmaster website tells me, sorry Google MAPS Errors we not index all.....

Additional I went down from indexed 750 pages to a few, also the linkage to the main page went down.....hugely.

Who changed the QUALITY LINK to the home page? Before Welcome to was a real QUALITY link on thousand of pages......

Huh? I don't understand what you're trying to say. Can you rephrase that, please?

Hi Richard,

I currently also run GL 1.5, upgraded from 1.4.1, and I have sitemap running smooth. Important is that you change the phpblock_gsmap.php with the source of http://www.geeklog.net/forum/viewtopic.php?forum=3&showtopic=83587

Then for lib-custom.php you need to follow the instruction, the same as for GL 1.4.1?

And not forget to change the permission to the sitemap file in the root folder.....
