confused
I just did a fresh install of version 1.4.1 and everything went fine. Or so I thought. At the top of the Admin Menu I get a message to check the security of the site before using it. When I click on the link I get the following message:

Text Formatted Code

1.Good! You seem to have removed the install directory already.
2.Address family not supported by protocol
3.Success
4.Success
5.Success
6.Success
7.Success
8.Good! You seem to have changed the default account password already.

Obviously number 2 is the problem but I have no idea what it means or how to fix it. I did a search of the site here and the phrase does not turn up anything. I am not new to Geeklog but I have never gotten this error before. Thanks in advance for any help. Big Grin

Hmm, that's an odd one. Haven't seen that message before myself ...

It seems to refer to the test whether your config.php is accessible from the web. The odd thing is that the next couple of tests do pretty much the same thing for several other files (e.g. error.log) but those don't seem to throw that message. And they usually provide a more informative message than just "Success".

Since you probably know what you're doing, I'd say you should be okay. I may have to come back to you with a debug version of the sectest script to see what's going on there.

bye, Dirk

I have about 20 Geeklog sites that are various versions. I have not had time to update all of them because the themes take so long for me to customize. I currently have 3 sites running the 1.4.1 version and only 1 gives me this message.

I will be glad to test a debug script for you. I am sure you have lots more to worry about than a problem with just one site so whenever you have time is fine with me. Thanks very much for the quick reply!
