lib-common.php corrupts in dreamweaver - why?

Hi, can you tell me why lib-common.php corrupts with dreamweaver? I use dreamweaver mx and have turned off alla rewrite options and intelligent editing and it still corrupts the lib-common file?

I'm wondering what in lib-common.php is impacted by dreamweaver? is it the line breaks Unix versus Windows? that is the only factor that I can see that is automatically a difference in the two operating systems.

Thanks in advance,

That's really something you should ask Adobe ...

I've never used Dreamweaver myself, but you're not the first one to have that problem. I heard that you can disable some options and then it would let the file alone (no idea what those are - try searching the forums). If that doesn't help: See above ...

Thanks for the reply Dirk --

Out of interest, I downloaded and tested Homesite and it works fine with the lib-common.php file.

I also turned off all "auto corrects" and "ask before changing code" etc, included "php" with list of files to be edited (mentioned in other forum commentary), in my copy of dreamweaver mx but it corrupted the file each time.

What is strange, to me, is that Dreamweaver only impacts lib-common.php... Is there some sort of filter in lib-common.php that checks for spaces or line breaks before it runs? as the only line that could not be changed in Dreamweaver was the CF vs LF (Windows vs Unix) line breaks.

More curious than anything else as to what is required in the preservation of lib-common.php from a coding and feature enhancment perspective...

Can you enlighten me?

Thanks again,
