Sudden Login-Cookies-Redirect Issue

When I logged on this morning, I got the error:
The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

The cookies were in my cache.

I flushed the cookies and got past the redirect loop. But on attempting to login, the site sets cookies and I am back in the loop.

If I deny the cookies, my login name is displayed but I am still not logged in.
  • register_globals = On
  • config.php and lib-common.php have no white space at the end.
  • I am not behind a firewall or proxy.
  • My browsers are accepting cookies at minimum security.
  • I have cleared the cookie caches numerous times.
  • Looks like php 4.3.10 .
  • I have been running without issue for 6 months.

The night prior I
  • added small plugins
  • changed some settings in config.php that I don't recall
  • turned on FCKeditor
  • added the FROM_UNIXTIME hack to story.php
  • changed some settings in phpBB2, including cookies settings that I don't recall, and matched the session timing between phpBB2 (bridged) and Geeklog.

I haven't seen any cookies in my caches from phpBB2, just Geeklog cookies.

However, I can't change any configs from the browser while locked out.

I have mysql backups.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. I have been tinkering for 6 months and I was going to launch this weekend. :banghead:

TIA!

OK.

I dropped the pi_name for phpbbbridge from the plugins table.
I also dropped all the phpBB2 tables.

All is fine except that I don't have phpbridge--yet.

Is there is any other plugin related data kept by Geeklog that I should remove?
