mailing list plugin?

curious
so far all I have found for a mailing list plugin is the one that was abandoned back in '03.

are there any other mailing list plugins out there?

I know someone has to be using mailing lists with geeklog!

what are you all using?

i think this is a MUCH needed feature for geeklog. The mail utility is crap, and with larger sites like mine where i have a couple thousand members it would be good to have some functionality when it comes to messaging my site members.
