I'm using the blogroll block with GL 1.4.1 Professional theme and it works fine. But the links are in the center of the block. I've looked through the css and can't find a way to get them to align left. I've looked at the code and don't see any formatting. How can I get these links to align left rather than the middle. Here's a quick photo to see what I mean if you'd like to see. The site is www.mmbenefits.info.
Thanks...

Based on the code, the generated code should say
Text Formatted Code
<ul class="list-blogroll">
So you should be able to modify how it looks by adding CSS statements to the style.css file. Create a UL.list-blogroll rule. If you don't know CSS, someone else will have to help you as I'm no CSS expert.

Thanks, jmucchiello... when I read your reply I looked at the page source (duh) and saw class="list-blogroll"... all I have to do is add it to the css file.
Added

/*Blogroll block***************************************************************/
.list-blogrollul {
text-align:left;
}

Thanks for shaking my brains..... Oops!

*edit... spoke too soon... while that works fine with Fire Fox... IE 6 is a bit more reluctant to cooperate... can anybody help me write that snippet for IE 6?

I don't know a lot about CSS but it isn't actually centered. There is a large space in front of the bullet. You need to find out how to reduce that space. It might not be doable with a class= on the < LI > tag

Thanks for your replies.

The css I left alligns the links to the left in Fire Fox beautifully. IE6 doesn't respond to it. I've scoured the css file and the script. I don't see anything, no padding, no margin, no align... nuttin that would put the links there rather than aligned left. I looked at the script but I'm not sure what I'm looking for as far as formatting. It's not horrible that it does that in IE6, but I'd like it to line up. I'm assuming that, due to the nature of the site, alot of older folks will be stopping by, and they tend to use IE because it comes default on Windows and it's what they know.

Anyway, I'm going to keep looking and reading up on CSS... but if anybody reads this and knows how to get it right in IE, please tell me!

I thought of that and went through all the 'block*.thtml files, looking for something, but I didn't see anything there either. There's a .block-box-right ul in the css, but that seems to have no effect on these links. Changes to .block-box-left ul changes the left block lists...

I'm baffled... thats not saying much when it comes to this, though ...

Lists are hard to style consistently across the various browsers. Try searching the usual CSS tutorial sites for tips.

bye, Dirk
