I have installed Menu 1.6 is this compatible with the latest BETA ? also I saw it said I had to adjust the index.php of the site but no instructions were given, do I replace the index.php with one from the menu package or alter the existing one ?
I'm only asking as simple cascading menus don't seem to work,
Thanks

as stated before this is an old plugin for 1.3.6

If you read the instructions again you only ever had to replace the index file if upgrading from other versions of this plugin, and I wouldn't recommend replacing it anyhow due to the amount of changes since 1.3.6.

This plugin does work with the latest beta as I tried it the other day.

This plugin was never intending for cascading menus, Blaines GLmenu is the only one as far as I know that supports that.

make sure you also set the menu elements for anonymous access, it should have done that by default thats the way it worked for me.

When you say menu elements do you mean the "Block Permissions ?"
I have stumbled on something, in Safari the Block is not loading but in FireFox it is ?? Mac OS 10.4.8

safari doesn't load alot of things from what I hear.

under the access rights for each element you have 4 tick boxes is the anon one ticked, if so I'm not sure where you went wrong.

Now not loading unless logged in ?????
I have uninstalled it and installed it again, ANON access in the tick box has been enabled, it just did not show ??? What is going on I am sure all permissions are correct.
I am using the current beta release.
Thanks for any help...

The old menu-plugin are for version 1.3.6 as mentioned before.
It MAY be used with newer versions, but be sure to check what it does.
Your problem with elements or the entire menu disappears is that you allow that users select language.
The menu-plugin requires you specify an entry for EACH language.
Use phpmyadmin to examine the tabels, and you will see the same as the instructions tells you.

Not sure, I used it on a site with no option to change language and than it worked as desired.
Fiddle around, thats how I made it work as I wanted.
I now use Blaines glMenu, for my use his menu are far more userfriendly.
