Preserving geeklog sites

After a few years of geeklogging, I'm closing the doors on my site. However, I'd like to have a record of the site for nostalgic purposes.

I'd like to preserve all of the stories, and their accompanying comments. When I closed down a much smaller, temporary site I just went through and manually saved each individual story page as a single-file web archive (.mht). However, the current site has more than 1200 stories and this is not a viable option.

Can anyone suggest methods for doing this? Are there any site rippers that might do the trick?

Any and all information this wonderful community can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try Teleport or Httrack.

Hope that helps,

Even good ol' wget should work.

You should keep all these tools away from the calendar, though, or they may run for a long time (read: forever) ...

bye, Dirk
