phpBBridge - ability to add a centerblock above main listing?

Ok maybe I'm just being dense, but...
I'm trying to figure out a way to add a block that displays above the forums at
http://www.cfbpredictions.com/phpBB2/index.php
We want to be able to turn ads off in the forums for paid members.
I'm using a couple of test banner ads right now that are being placed into the subsilver theme via phpadsnew.
What I'd like to be able to do is place the phpadsnews code into a block which appears above the forums, that way I can turn it off for paid members via permission settings but leave them on for non members...
Any ideas?
