Setting up two calendars

Hello, I have just set up geeklog for my mother who is an AP english teacher. She is using the calendar to give children the ability to see when their assignments are due, and download their assignments and print them out if they lose them.
What I am interested in knowing is if I can set up two calendars, one for each class. I have limited space in the free account that I have obtained, so I cannot simply do a second installation of geeklog or other cms for the other class. What is necessary to have two separate calendars? Can I set up two different user groups, and tag all calendar entries so that only one class can see the entries for that class?
Also, I have noticed that the site_logo, when replaced in the header.thml in the professional theme with a link to an image file, only places that image on the front page and not on any other pages! I followed that guide in the faq, do I have to edit a bunch of other thtml files?

Permissions sound like the way to go then. Make a group for each class and when creating an event, assign the group owndership to the proper class group, unchecking the "Anonmyous" and "Members" checkboxes. Then only members of that group would be able to see the events.

Default permissions for new events can be set in config.php.

bye, Dirk
