Okay... maybe this is already in the documentation, in which case I apologize for not being able to find it. Smile But I have a big question...

I'm about to update one of my Geeklog installs from 1.3.11sr2 to 1.4.0sr2. The instructions look simple enough. BUT... I have a Forums plugin (phpBBBridge, I believe it's called, which "bridges" to a phpBB install). Should I:

(a) Turn off this plugin before doing the install?
(b) Re-install this plugin after the install?
(c) Change some sort of setting/code within the plugin after the install?
(d) Something else entirely?

The forums have their own separate DB, so I should be okay even if I screw things up a little bit at first. But I want to be sure that I know how to get the Geeklog communicating with the phpBB properly... I'm currently in the midst of uploading the 1.4.0 files, but I'll just rename the directory and restore the old directory while I wait for feedback on this question.

As long as the plugins didn't require any modifications to Geeklog's core code, you can just leave them (i.e. their files) where they are. Disabling them temporarily may be a good idea, as it's one less source of potential problems. You should of course check if they are compatible with the Geeklog version you're upgrading to.

bye, Dirk
