What "image link" are you referring to? There are no images in the Plugins section.

Where are the "install documents" you are clicking Rolling Eyes

Go to your database and see if there are any tables for inmemoriam created .

Hi Robin,

when i login as an admin, then to go to plugins, there are 2 lists
the first reads:

Plug-in List

# Plug-in Name

Plug-in Version Geeklog Version Enabled
1 staticpages 1.4.1 / 1.4.1 1.3.10 Yes
2 spamx 1.0.2 / 1.0.2 1.3.10 Yes
3 phpbbbridge 1.02 / 1.02 1.3.10 Yes

then there is a line and another list
with the "Install" liink at the end

New Plug-in

# Plug-in Name

1 forum Install
2 inmemoriam Install

and so I click on install next to inmemoriam

then i am taken to another page...

in that page, there is an image (most plugins use their own image, therefore each image is different depending on the plugin)

and THAT image is also a link to the install procedure.

it is when i click on that image that I get the error message.

below that image, in this particular plugin, there is also another lin that reads:

"Install Document"

that link is linked to an htm page, but the plugin came with an html page, so I rename the html to htm -- but nothing happens when I click on the link

and below that

is the usual " Installl" link -- which when I click nothing happens.

I checked the error log -- there is no entry

I checked the database used by gl, and there are no tables created by inmemoriam.

the install.php is in my geeklog/admin/plugins/inmemoriam/index.php directory.

it is there, I checked it with my ftp program.

WOW -- what can i do?

Pease.

THANKS

couple things you can check (all of which are fixed in the release that you should see an just a couple days):

ensure that your system dir is not named after the archive file.
e.g., it should be $_conf['path']/plugins/inmemoriam/
and not $_conf['path']/plugins/Inmemoriam_0.8.5_1.3.11/

also ensure that register globals is on. this only matters for the install script, which has now been fixed. See the latter half of this thread for more info on that.

leave you with that and let me know how it goes.

As I installed it a while ago, I've done another fresh install on my test enviroment and I'm still a little confused by your description. If you copied all files into their proper dirs (including PEAR files) the installation is a ONE click process.
After going Admins Only -> Plugins there is our Inmemoriam listed under New Plug-in list. I click on Install and next thing I can see is this message:

Install/Uninstall Plugin
Installation Successful. Create your first media album here.
The Plugin is Installed

Additional questions:
- What GL version are you on?
- What theme are you using?

yes, I noticed that the directory had to be RENAME -- and I did.
