I am a Geeklog noob, and the calendar is one of the main reasons that I chose this CMS. Currently I am using Postnuke, but I have found that Geeklog will meet all of the requirements that I personally need for a bicycling community website.

Things that drew me into Geeklog are:
1.The clean look of the calendar. Post calendar is a good tool but it is also quite hideous.
2.The static HTML page is quite nifty too
3.The News information is also very useful

These items make it quite easy to setup a great community website. I like the fact that these simple functions are there ready to go.

Thus, the calendar feature is HIGHLY important. A dynamic calendar is probably one of the most utilized features on the site. It allows users to interact within the website, and anonymous people to get the information they need to go on a bike ride. I would like to see two things added to the calendar function.

1.A setting for reoccurring events. There are many training rides that happen one per week. There are many events that happen on the last Friday of every month. This would be great functionality.
2.Secondly it would be great when a start date is added that end date is automatically forced to equal the start date. A start date cannot happen before an end date.
