Hi, I need help installing plugins, I read http://wiki.geeklog.net/index.php/Plugins but I do not understand any of it. Is there an easy guide someware? One that tells you directely were to put the files?

I tried the guide that came with it but when I moved the admin to the admin folder it said I already had an index file in there.

You have to rename the "admin" directory (to the name of the plugin) and move it into the admin/plugins directory.

Hint: staticpages and spamx are two plugins that come pre-installed. Check their directory layout.

Btw, which plugin are you trying to install?

bye, Dirk

Well, "It doesn't work!" isn't really saying a lot ... The forum comes with pretty detailed installation instructions. What have you tried? Where are you stuck?

bye, Dirk

I just dont know where to put anything, I tried putting it in public_html and it overrit my index page, then I tried in plugins but that did not work, I tried renaming the admin file like you said and putting it in admin but that did not work.

Isnt there any step by step instructions or easy instructions?

Thats the problem, its TO detailed! I dont understand it lol, can someone take me through it step by step? I have no idea what:
Uncompress the archive files into your /plugins directory. It will create a forum directory and associated subdirectories for the files. You will need to move the files in the admin and public subdirectories to their appropriate directory as indicated below.
meens

And I dont get what
The files in the admin directory under your new plugins/forum folder need to be moved to /public_html/admin/plugins/forum directory.

You will need to first create the:

/public_html/admin/plugins/forum directory
meens...?
