More information, please. What did you do now? When exactly do you get that message?

bye, Dirk

Hi Dirk

I edited english.php by changing one line for the header listing from: 'Community Events Calendar' to: 'Post Your Event' via FireFTP.

That worked fine. Then I went into the submission folder via the admin profile to edit a post and OK'd it for publication. Then I realized I needed to edit it and received the: No such input file message. I changed the english.php back and that didn't work.

Then I got the above suggestion to look at config.php and modified that to the version that I inhereted in March. Nothing changed. So I changed it back. Still no access. I checked my personal profile for access and still could not get in to edit anything. Every page, profile, etc I tried to edit I could not.

Alas... here I am. Backing up the website as we speak to prepare for the update.

Thanks

We'll I've loaded geeklog 1.3.11 changed my new config.php and lib.common files as instructed. When go to the site all I get is:"No input file specified."

So I cannot administer the site as is and I cannot upgrade!?! Banging your head

Any hints?

Thanks

Sorry the config.php file was wrong. I can now access the site but I install still.
I've checked the config and lib-common files and edited them but the upgrade still won't install.

Still says:

No input file specified.

After going to http://yourgeeklogsite/admin/install/install.php

Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm operating under the assumption your installing it to renoimc.org, if not then you can disregard this. Although I do get the same "No input file specified." error when I go to http://renoimc.org/admin/install/check.php

Moving on, it looks like the files aren't there.

When I checked your site at
http://www.renoimc.org/admin/install/

it says
The requested URL /admin/install/ was not found on this server.

So check to see the you copied your files from "/path/to/geeklog/public_html" into your webroot.

Thanks Matthew

It turns out that I had the config and lib-common files set up to go the wrong folders.

/admin instead of admin/public_html/admin

I was able to fix that and began the upgrade to 1.3.11 but then I got...

Warning: main(/home/content/l/m/a/lmadysen2/html/backend/plugins/spamx/functions.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/l/m/a/lmadysen2/html/lib-common.php on line 5391

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home/content/l/m/a/lmadysen2/html/backend/plugins/spamx/functions.inc' (include_path='/home/content/l/m/a/lmadysen2/html/backend/system/pear/:.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/content/l/m/a/lmadysen2/html/lib-common.php on line 53

...it turns out that you need Zend Optimizer 2.5.7 and Godaddy only goes up to 1.3 presently so now I am deleting the whole site to do a reinstall of the old set up!

Hi matthewcox

I'm sorry I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to reply. this is what the error log says.

Wed Jul 13 00:31:42 2005 - 1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1. SQL in question: SELECT * FROM

I'm not sure what that means other than I have an SQL error which I was previously notified about.

Where is such MySQL manual and how do I find out which version I'm using?

Thanks!
