Change logo type from logo.gif to logo.jpg?

I know how to change out the logo, the problem I am having is that I want to switch my logo over to a jpg so even if I swap out my logo.gif file with another image, it won't work. I also tried looking in the header.thtml under layout/professional/ but can't seem to find any mention of logo.gif.

How do I point GL to look for logo.jpg instead of logo.gif?

It uses a variable, {site_logo}. Just replace that with the URL of your JPEG.

bye, Dirk

I JUST did it.

you want to go here:
(your Geeklog folder)/layout/professional( or whatever theme you are using)/header.thtml

About halfway down you will see the variable {site logo} in quotes. In those quotes, just replace it with the location of your new logo like Dirk just said.

At first, you'll have this: img src = "{site_logo}"
Maybe you'll replace it with something like: img src = "images/logo.jpg"
Maybe you'll have to type it all out: img src = "http://www.xyz.com/~boogers/geeklog/layout/professional/images/logo.jpg"

Whatever works for you. Also remember that this logo you are changing is a link. If the logo you place on the first page doesn't take you where you want to go, change the {site_url} variable in the same line.

For example: a href="{site_url}" to a href="http://www.(whatever).com"

It works for me. I hope it works for you. Blah Blah Blah Blah ...
