I was wondering if there is a good photo gallery plug-in that would allow someone to upload the pictures via geeklog, and have it displayed as a thumbnail. I searched, and didn't find one.

Thank you.

Your search for "Gallery" did not turn up any results? I find that hard to believe ...

bye, Dirk

No, I couldn't find this. All the ones that came up in the search required that you upload the pictures via FTP that I saw.

When I search for "Gallery" I get a message that says:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /usr/home/geeklog/geeklog/system/classes/template.class.php on line 499

But here is a link to Gallery's website, all you need to do is download and follow the instructions for including it within your Geeklog install.
Yes I am mental.

Thank you very much drshakagee. Does anyone else know of one that is made just for GL, without linking the scripts?

Thanks again.

There is one made just for Geeklog called Geekary (I am pretty sure) but it was far from as good as Gallery is and is no longer supported. Gallery version 1 is great with Geeklog, I doubt you would want many features that it doesn't have. There no hacking files or anything to get it to work with your Geeklog database, just fill out the Geeklog specific stuff when you install it and your good to go.

Here Gallery running inside a Geeklog site I made.

Wink And just to chime in, here's another example (customized skin), and one more where gallery is really inside the center block of Geeklog.

Gallery is really your best choice, and there is no hacking involved. Also, you can upload photos via a browser interface (not just ftp), which seems to be important to you.
