Hi,

I've been using Geeklog and Gallery (http://gallery.sourceforge.net) for some time now. So far I've been using Gallery embedded in my Geeklog site, but now I want to change things.

What I'm trying to achieve is to use Geeklog on mysite.com, but have Gallery at gallery.mysite.com, totally independent from Geeklog theme and layout. The only thing I want to share between Geeklog and Gallery is the users information - so users can log in either at mysite.com or at gallery.mysite.com.

The Gallery implementation uses sessions from the Geeklog login, so if you log in at mysite.com you are able to go to gallery.mysite.com as logged in user. I want users to be able to go straight to gallery.mysite.com and login from there...

Has anyone done something like this, or has any tips or ideas of how to achieve this in proper manner - I am a programmer so doing some implementation is not a problem Smile The best way is propably to call the Geeklog login function from the Gallery, but I didn't see any obvious way to do that so I'm asking you for some directions..

Here is what I would "try" if you havent already done so.

Create your Subdomain
move all files to your subdomain including your geeklog files
change the path files to reflect your subdomain files, leave the DB settings the same
Now invidually inspect each file from the Gallery to the Galley Intergrated plugin. You should be able to easily strip most o fthe core geeklog files without much worry.
After you are finnshed. Post the code back here
