Feed Writer Classes -blank screen

I've uploaded Feed Writer Classes into my System folder, created a static page with content as instructed. Actived PHP on static page.When I pull up the static page, I get this message:
This page contains a list of active RDF/RSS news feeds as well as mobile channels that can be used by Avantgo and similar services. Our Avantgo channels are also suitable for online browsing on small screens.
The rest of the page is blank. I know there is content in my rdf file because it is showing up on other websites. Any ideas?
Also, I don't know if this helps, but when I try to access the rdf with IE, it gives me a download dialog box instead of displaying the contents in the browser window. I believe this is a result of the rss version? My permissions are 777 on my rdf and also on my feedclasses_1.2 files.
