Hi

Two questions :

1. How do i use these file to make the db upgrade? These are php files but from what i see they should be used by some other script.

2. Is it safe to make these changes while still using 1.3.8?

thanks

Erm, you may want to read the upgrading instructions ...

I just did,

what i really want to do is copy the database to a temp db and run the two files (mysql_1.3.8_to_1.3.9.php and mysql_1.3.9_to_1.3.10.php) on that DB so i can test the new ver before i upgrade.

I don't plan to have a clean install at any point. I'm going over each file that has been changed and applying the changes from 1.3.8 to 1.3.10 manually with "Compare It".

Is there a way to run them manually?

thanks

That's not the way it's supposed to be done. If you want to test the new version before going live with it, install it in a test environment first, importing the database from your site and running the install script (in upgrade mode) on it.

Why?
