I want a user to be able to open up a PDF file on the right 2/3 of screen when they click on a link in a story.

I need to use PDF since the documents are intended to be printed and put in a workbook.

I know how to have Adobe Reader open up full screen on a clicked link, but don't know how to make it play nice with GL.

All help appreciated!

Blessings!

Try making a static page/centerblock that uses an iframe to the intended pdf. Thats really the only way I can think of getting it done.

Thanks Anonymous Rob, whoever you are! Big Grin

I used a static page with an iFrame. After tinkering with the attributes, I got it to work. I just wish that I could make the length of the Acrobat Reader automatically adjust to the length of the browser window.

Oh, well. I'll just be happy with what I have done so far.

Blessings!

Can you post your IFRAME tag. I have been experiment with Iframe and couldn't get the right numbers to make it look nice.

Tks

Here is the code I put in a static page:

Text Formatted Code

<IFRAME SRC="http://www.yourgeeklogsite/staticpage" WIDTH=100%
HEIGHT=500 FRAMEBORDER=0 SCROLLING=0 TITLE="titleblock">
<!-- Alternate content for non-supporting browsers -->
<H2>Your browser does not support this page</H2>
</IFRAME>

Hope this helps!

I think that is a problem with Iframe, I do not think you can set the length dynamically, I've tried many times and can't find any article that says otherwise. So if someone knows how to do it that would be a great leap.

What about doing a PHP include?
