shared user tables

I have 3 sites. Same server, same database, different domains. All working fine seperately. I tried sharing the 5 user* tables between them with no luck. Keep getting errors in sql to the access table.

I simply want the same userid and password to work on all three sites.

Has anyone done this? Can it be done by making certain tables shared? Which ones? Does this have to be done via a custom registration? Has anyone done that?

Thanks.
Joe

Seems to be working. Here's the shared tables:
access,
features,
groups,
group_assignments,
usercomment,
userinfo,
userindex,
userprefs,
users,

for forum settings:
forum_userprefs,
forum_banned_ip,(only have to ban once)
forum_userinfo

I've done about 30 minutes of test cases and it seems fine so far. I'll post if anything needs to be different.

I went into system/lib-databases.pbp and changed the tables to point to the "common" ones, but in the error.log I get that it can not read the sboss_gl_ versions (which is specific to my one website and not the commn ones). What other file(s) do I need to change?
