No I didn't change nothing to get that error. Only thing is to get it going in there. Then in a few hours after that. It went down for good. I still think it's the weather. I can't get in nothing at all to get it out.

Even the Web Host said it's from the Program that was put in. The last program was the weather. It was working till I put that in for him. Now what you think now. They need to redo the MYSQL in there now for that weather Plugin put in.

Go into the database (using phpMyAdmin or whatever's handy) and disable the weather plugin there: In the 'gl_plugins' table, find the entry for the plugin and set the 'pi_enabled' field to 0 (zero).

bye, Dirk

You need to put this in your .htaccess file for the site:

# Used to allow PHP scripts to access remote pages
php_value allow_url_fopen on

Just wanted to fire off a short note of thanks for the information about the weather plugin.

I was having the same trouble with php not being able to access outside pages. I put the line into my .htaccess file and it worked perfectly!

Thanks to all of you who work so hard on these things and for sharing your knowledge.

All the best,
Parthian.

After reading this thread I thought I should add my experience. It worked the first time... No problems whatsoever.

I installed this plugin on a new site I'm working on. I'm developing it using 1.3.10rc2 in hopes that a stable version is released before or soon after I go live.

I wanted to add another city that was not in the database. I kinda hacked my way through that process but this is above and beyond the scope of this plugin in its current stage of development. But I should note that it only took about 10mins to install (includes reading the readme) and another 15mins to get my unlisted city into the database.

I'm glad I didn't read this thread before I gave this plugin a try, I may have looked elsewhere first.

Sure there is always room for improvement but a great addition as far as I'm concerned. Thank you and kudos to all who contributed to this plugin!!!
