Many geeklogers have outgrown phpbb as a plugin to the current genuine geeklog forum. If you prefer that, you can check out squatty.com and search phpbb. You will find a lot of information.

I am curious what part of GL forum you are not impressed with?

Ok that helped somewhat. The main thing im trying to change is the catagory tree at the top of the page. The writing is in blue on a black background and you cant read it. Ive looked in the file style.css but im not sure what it would be called. Take a look for yourself here

Have you added the new forum CSS to your themes style.css file?

This is noted in the install/upgrade steps. You need to add the CSS from the file additional-forum.css that is located in the suppplied archive - plugins/forum/themefiles/additional-forum.css

It's part of the plugin archive that you restored.

Sorry for sounding stupid Blaine but you've lost me. I havent restored nothing this is a clean install All I really need to do is to change some colors in the gameserver theme forums because half of it is unreadable bad layout of colors is that so difficult ? or mabye i should just find a new theme. Can you recommend one that is mostly all black ?

Ok, let me backup.

You noted that you could not find the CSS definition in your themes style.css called .forumoutline.

This and the other required new CSS definitions for the forum are located in a file called additional-forum.css. This is documented in the install_doc as part of a install or upgrade - to add the forum CSS definitions to each and every theme's style.css file. Each theme has to be updated if you have more then one.

The file additional-forum.css is part of the Forum plugin files that were un-compressed into your plugins folder. Look in the plugins/forum/themefiles directory. It should be there and the CSS declaration .forumoutline is one of the definitions.

sad
well. it's not that i don't like this forum plugin.. the only problem is that I have a very heavy modded phpbb forum.. i wish Geeklog used the user tables from phpbb.. but I guess that's too much asked

anyway.. I am still not using this forum.. too many mods I don't wanna loose, plus the fact the many mods there are for the phpbb forum can't be integrated anymore
