I've decided to ditch my FUDForum and give the Forum plug-in a try. I got the 2.2RC1 version installed with no problem and it works great but...

I would like to increase the size of the text that makes up the message bodies, but I'm not having much success.

The install instructions say to copy the forumstyles.css into the style.css for my theme, but I did a search and saw another post that said you don't have to do that...so I'm confused. I've tried to make changes in both files, but nothing shows up differently. So my ?'s are:

1. Do I need to copy the forumstyle.css into the style.css file?
2. Which element do I change to change the text size? If it's even possible, of course.
3. Is there a thtml template for the table that the messages show up in? If there's no element in the stylesheet I thought it might be in the html...

Thanks,

Rachael

Ok, after working on this some more this evening, I've figured out which thtml template it is (topic....duh...sorry, I just didn't scroll down far enough on the file to see the field I was looking for). The class applied to that td is storypost{csscode}. Only storypost1 and storypost2 is referenced in the forumstyle.css file. Nothing happens when I change either one of those. And again, I've tried changing it in forumstyles and style.css (with the forum attributes added at the end).

So I'm still lost. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious. I'm just not sure what to check for next and I'm not coming up with anything on searches. But if it's been addressed before, I would love to be pointed in the right direction! Big Grin
Thanks,

Rachael

Are you trying to change the size of the textarea that you enter your message into?

- if so look at the topic.thtml and change the settings for the cols and rows.

If not -- I'm not sure what your asking

Nope. I'm talking about the size of the actual text that makes up the message body...like what you're looking at right now. But now that I'm typing this, I think you've answered my question anyway.

I just went into the include_html.php file and changed the default on the Font Size drop down box to "Large" instead of "Normal". That should take care of it...at least for new messages anyway.

See, I knew I was missing something obvious! Wink

Thanks,

Rachael
