I have successfully integrated 4images image gallery with my Geeklog site (thanks to the forums and the hard work of Matt, Blaine, etc).

I was wondering if there was any way to integrate the two search functions? What I was hoping was one search box that would search both the geeklog tables and the 4images tables which happen to be in the same MySQL database. Is this possible?

My website is for my family and my mom, grandmother, etc will never be able to figure out two search fields. :-(

Thanks,
Shawn

The sitesearch function will call any registered plugins that also have a defined search function. The 4images integration is not a registered plugin so there is now way to write a search function to return 4images matches during a site search.

Having said that, you could fake it. Create a plugin record for 4images and then write a function called plugin_dopluginsearch_4images() in your lib-custom.php file. It would then be called automatically.

You could look at any of the plugins to see the format of this function and then replicate the search code used 4images to return the formatted results.
