I just installed the geeklog v1.3.8-sr3 on my home machine.

I have tested the site from the local host with no issues whatsoever. However when viewing on a remote client machine both internal to my network and outside of my network it seems like I have issues with the pages loading when typing in the site url

example: http://powerstride.no-ip.com/
But if I type in the full path to the index.php page it loads fast. Now apache is configured to load the index.php and it works fine from local host.. it even works remotely sometimes but others it seems like it gets confused. Would the site hang like this if the cookies where getting written wrong? Does anyone have any other places for me to look?

Sorry about that. The environment is Win 2K running Apache 2.

I did some more testing last night and it looks like it works fine from inside the network it is just external coming in through my firewall/Nat. Would translation cause cookie or applications issues?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the answer to your problem is. AA couple months ago I used aeonserv to install geeklog on a machine for temporary use as an intranet server. I experienced esentially the same problem as you, anyone off my local machine had extreme difficulty in getting the page. I finally installed an older version of apache, and it seemed to fix the problems for teh most part, but I never had time to really dig into why it wasn't working. In my experience though, it seemed to be something in, apache more than in geeklog, that was causing the problem. (This was on a Win XP box)
