A Barrage of Template Related Questions (sorry)

Hi there, First of all I want to thank everybody on this board for doing so much to help hopeless people like me. Especially Mr. Haun, who answered my question about the NeloTheme earlier this weekend. Anyway, I decided to just go with the Rude_Colors theme, because I like it too. Only I've tried, successfully for the most part, to change the colors to something more suitable to my site. I think it looks okay, for what I want anyway, but I'm having a few issues with the layout that I would like to clear up and I was hoping that you kind folks would be willing to help me.

First of all.......it seems like on every page excepting index.php, for some reason, the footer begins just after where the content on the middle of the page ends, then there's a big white area underneath. Here's an example:

http://www.lennui.org/article.php?story=2003112310200658

I would really like it to be at the bottom of the page like it should be, ya know? Does anybody know what could be causing this?

Also on the above page and others like it (i.e. articles) for some reason, the area under all of the right blocks stays orange, despite my having modified the rightblock.thtml to display as the same color as the blocks themselves. And also, as you can see, the comments section seems to retain the original color scheme. Does anybody know what to change in order to fix this?

Another thing.....Just yesterday I installed the submission form enhancement from Simon Lord, and I think it's really cool and I don't want to get rid of it, only, as you can see:

http://www.lennui.org/submit.php?type=story

the form kind of messes up the formatting, like it's too big for the center of the page. Is there a way I can resize stuff or anything?

Another really pointless goofy question relates to my forum.

http://www.lennui.org/forum/index.php?forum=4

You see near the top of the forum, where there's that little branchy dealie that says media, then goes down to art and literature? Notice how the area behind it is white? I'm fairly sure that it's supposed to be gray. Is there a way to fix this?

And last but not least, I would like to easily switch all the fonts on my page everywhere from Times New Roman to Verdana. I've already done some of them using the THTML stuff, but is there a way to get it done using the cascading style sheet for Rude_Colors? I looked, and there doesn't seem to be any sort of intuitive place where you would know to change the font to what you want. Does anybody know if this is possible, and what I would have to add, and where to accomplish it?

Again, thank you for even bothering to read such stupid and purely cosmetic questions. I appreciate it beyond measure, just as I appreciate the wonderful software itself. I'm the biggest newbie/idiot in the world, and even I was able to set it up in no time flat. It's just the greatest thing since sliced bread. Thank you so much, and if you're in America, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Go to http://mozilla.org and download the full version for your operating system. Two key elements within Mozilla which will help you big time are its browser and html editor.

What you do is when you find a page that gives you problems you download it to your harddrive and then open it within Mozilla's editor.

What you do is then focus on the exact problem and examine its code... This can make editing and styling themes quite easy when a mess of CSS tags are all around...

Your footer is most likely to deal with the footer.thtml file located in your themes root directory. I believe you might be missing a tag somewhere...

The resize issue if not by the means of measurement (width="300") try searching for (cols="300" rows="300"). Don't look for "300" just when you find a number in there, lower it... cols is width...

The forum problem is most easily solved with Mozilla... download it, open it in the editor, find the tag, edit the tag, save the file, preview the file... see if it did the trick...

Most of this assumes you know a bit about CSS...

Good luck!

Thanks for the help, vbgunz! I didn't know that Mozilla had such a powerful HTML editor imbedded. It looks like it's every bit as powerful as FrontPage (from what I've seen of FrontPage, anyway). I've already managed to fix the problem with the footer. Thanks again!
